UNIT

This is a family room that I had to create a unit that can have everything the need without being massive.
I did one of my disorganized designs on the left, a typical ledge for my creations and a photo of a section of the ceiling of the Musee d'Orsay that I enlarged as my hidden art design.

Soft materials and to top it a very odd Ingo Maurer floor lamp.

blackboard or artwork?

I always wanted to use a big black board in a dining room, so you can write the menu there!
In this case I went before delivering the apartment with a friend that is an artist.
It was so black that I told her to draft one of her sculptures there, so it will look resolved.
Conclusion: the client loved the sketch and it stayed there as a piece of art for the dining room.

there and not there

This was a great challenge and we worked out the cleanest kitchen I ever designed.

It is there and almost "not there" too.

mixed material

This is a bar setting and I decide to use every material that I like.
so I used glass tiles in the back with iridescent colors.
walnut, of course with a suspended glas top to protected and to be at 42".
metal and plastic!
simple clean and ready !

bathing and aesthetic

the biggest pleasure is to have time and enjoy a bath.
This tub manufactured by Waterworks is a perfect example of a sculptured shape for daily use.
I used this tub and loved the aesthetic look and balance that gave to this bathroom.
It is what I call "delicious" to use and to look.

art and design

this is a piece that I just installed in Aruba and is a collaboration between a designer and an artist.
I created the format for this monumental piece of 25' tall and Nelly Garcia (the artist) did the photography work, composition and color approach.
Each piece has been individually set and the depth varies so the volume has movement.
The chandelier is a mobile by David Weeks studio with 9 lamps suspended in the middle of the room.

screening

screen - see - enjoy

This screen is a combination of ideas.
this was a key element in this interior.
The wood is oak and the stain is dark ebony.
The texture ...delicious!

Just 2 straight shelves to put books as decorative elements. done!

One screen stoled the show!

Walnut is my favorite wood!

Walnut paneling is a very strong element and subtle
at the same time.
I love the wood grain and book match patterns that the
natural material creates.

Space, space, space.

Always have a lot of visual space.

Interior design is always about space and composition. I like to breath in every space that I plan.

Hallway story

A hallway is always a difficult place , so this became my closest friend. I love to design hallways to bring a surprise element to the interiors. They always love the living room and the rest, but the hallway always tells a good story! and I am the design narrator.
